Perfect solution for someone who's ankles are always cold in winter, as mine are. I tuck my jeans or sweatpants into them and am good to go.
I bought them a half-size bigger than I usually do to make sure there was plenty of room for socks, but the toe on my longer foot still hits the end of the boot, so I recommend buying a size larger than you normally would.

I ordered the boots in order to have a flat-heeled, warm winter shoe in which I could walk to work (about 30 min). They did not need any breaking in and I found them warm and comfortable. I also wore them multiple times to play in 4-8 inches of snow with my kids when I went on a trip to Canada. Although not billed as snow or rain boots (nor high enough for deep snow), I was surprised by how well they held up in wet conditions and the cold. Eventually my feet got wet but my feet stayed warm. My one complaint is that the adhesive for the fuzzy-type insert on the inside sole doesn't seem to hold very well--it has started bunching up and peeling back toward the arch, maybe about a 1/4 inch or so. This makes the boot quite uncomfortable because you have a hard lump right under your heel when you walk. A cheap insert would probably solve the problem. I'm fashion oriented and bought these boots, not because they looked so great, but because they were very inexpensive and functional. I find them a little frumpy looking but would buy them again given the price and usability. They may run a tiny bit small.

I very much like the boot. [...]has the best price for this boot. Unfortunately the fit was too short so I could not keep the boot. The next size up was too large. I think that the sizing is a bit off. Otherwise, it is an attractive well-made boot for wintry weather.

The boot is exactly what I was looking for. But it runs about 1/2 size small. I ordered an 8 1/2 Narrow (my usual size)and my toe hit the end of the boot. I was disappointed that I couldn't get the boot in green in a size 9.
